Pulitizer Prize author in Schoharie

Chris Hedges, author and Pulitzer Prize winning reporter for the New York Times, The Nation, and National Public Radio, will speak on Wednesday, June 29, 7pm, at the Schoharie United Presbyterian Church, 248 Main Street (Route 30), in Schoharie.
Titled, “Death of the Liberal Class,” Mr. Hedges’ talk is sponsored by Peacemakers of Schoharie County and hosted by the Schoharie United Presbyterian Church.
This presentation is open to the public, admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
Mr. Hedges’ books will be available for sale.
Mr. Hedges is a Harvard Divinity School graduate.
His books include “War is a Force that Gives Us Meaning,” “Losing Moses on the Freeway,” and his latest, “The World As It Is: Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress.”
Mr. Hedges’ father, Tom, was a circuit preacher in Schoharie County in the 1960s, and he was raised in United Presbyterian Church manse in Schoharie.
