Plenty for kids in Middleburgh this summer
7/20/2011 |
The Middleburgh Joint Youth Commission will offer several summer programs.
These programs are offered free of charge. The exception is the admission cost for bus trips and the costs involved with Headwaters, or any other camp's registration.
Village pool
The village pool open swim is from 1-6pm. Adult swim will be on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. On Sunday evenings from 6-8pm there is family swim, a time where families only can swim.
Late night open swim: This year, on Tuesdays, the pool will remain open for open swim until 7:30pm for everyone. This is in place of parent-tot time, which is no longer available.
Swim team: Eileen Quandt will coach swim team this summer. Practices will be on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6-7:30. This time will eventually be broken up into two 45-minute practices. Buses transport swimmers to and from meets. Meets will be on Wednesday evenings and a schedule will be distributed as soon as possible.
