Zoning changes could finally allow cycle repair shop

The Village of Cobleskill will hold a public hearing at its August meeting on changes to its zoning law that could finally allow a motorcycle sales business to expand.
The zoning change would amend the law to allow motorcycle repairs and inspection by special use permit in the General Business district.
Currently, that option doesn't exist.
For more than a year, Scott Perillo-the landlord--and Joe Tracy of JT's Cycle have been seeking a use variance to allow Mr. Tracy to open a motorcycle business repair shop next to the Cobleskill Diner.
Instead, the village agreed to ask the Planning Board to consider the necessary zoning change.
Planners also recommended rezoning the Donat's Brow property on Mineral Springs Road as a RPD, the zoning designation for the One Key site just down the road.
The village's August meeting will be the 15th at 7pm at the fire house.
