T-J seeking memories of 9/11

8/24/2011

Where were you on 9/11?
That's the question the Times-Journal is asking readers for a special section coming on September 14.
Included in that issue of the Times-Journal, the section will mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 tragedy and the country's patriotic response.
"It was an event that changed our lives and is still changing them," said T-J Publisher Jim Poole.
"And although it was a horrible, tragic day, 9/11 also pulled the country together. We should be proud of that and recognize it."
The section will feature the T-J's coverage of local relief efforts and memorials of 10 years ago and also personal recollections of readers affected by that day.
"That's what we're looking for," Mr. Poole said. "What were your reactions and thoughts when you heard the repeated blows of 9/11? And later, how did you feel?"
The section will also include coverage of local events marking the 9/11 anniversary.
To submit your thoughts, email to tjournalnews@yahoo.com or send to Times-Journal, PO Box 339, Cobleskill.
You can also post your thoughts on the T-J's Facebook page.
