T-J looking for your best recipes

9/28/2011

The Times-Journal wants your favorite recipes.
A flyer in this week's paper asks readers to submit recipes to be included in the T-J's Hometown Cooking that will be published in November.
"This is our 20th edition of the cookbook, so obviously it's one of our most popular projects," said Publisher Jim Poole.
"All the recipes come from readers, so it's a genuinely Schoharie County product."
Readers must return the flyers by October 15.
Recipes can include appetizers, drinks and punch, breads, soups, casseroles and quiches, meat and fish, game, vegetables and side dishes, desserts and more.
Although Hometown Cooking will be out right before the holidays, it's not focused on holiday cooking.
"Recipes can but don't have to be focused on Thanksgiving and Christmas," Mr. Poole said. "Send in a barbecue recipe if you want."
One restriction is that readers may submit only three recipes, and they must be in different categories.
The flyer asks for a list of ingredients and instructions. The recipe must be clear and easy to read.
The recipe is also on the T-J's website, timesjournalonline.
Readers should include a phone number, which won't be published, in case there are questions.
