Police are continuing to search for BB-shooters who are hitting car windows in northern Schoharie County.
And now there's a $1,000 reward to draw out information.
State Police in Cobleskill and Schoharie County Sheriff Tony Desmond reported that 10 car and truck windows have been shot out since February 1.
That brings the total to at least 22 shootings since State Police arrested four young men in connection with the shootings in mid-January.
The more recent shootings have been concentrated in the area where earlier ones took place: Along Route 20 and side roads off 20 in Sharon, Carlisle and Esperance.
Most of the February shootings were in the first week of the month.
"Over the weekend, we had no calls," Sheriff Desmond said. "But there was one on Thursday in the Sagendorf Corners-Grosvenors Corners area, and another the day before."
State Police Investigator Tom Cioffi said several concerned citizens are offering the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooters.
Neither Sheriff Desmond nor Investigator Cioffi would say whether the four men arrested earlier are considered suspects.
"But we're leaving no stone unturned," Investigator Cioffi said.
Still, it remains a difficult case: Night-time shootings on sparsely-traveled roads and a quick get-away.
"But there are still no new leads," Sheriff Desmond said.
Anyone with information should call 911 if it's an emergency or the Sheriff's Office at 295-8114 or the State Police at 234-3131 if it's not an emergency.
