Middleburgh Village Trustee Matthew Avitabile defeated incumbent Mayor Bill Ansel-McCabe in Tuesday's race for mayor.
Mr. Avitabile polled 193 votes to Mayor Ansel-McCabe's 169.
Tom Wargo, also running for mayor, earned two votes.
In the Village of Richmondville, Vincent Massarotti and Diana Cook each received 34 votes.
In Schoharie, Ed August and Jeremy Rosenthal were elected village trustees.
