Full Moon Walk at Max V. Shaul Friday

On Friday, April 6, the public is invited to explore the sights and sounds of the night on a guided nature walk under the Full Moon with Clarence Putnam, retired DEC Forester and member of the Friends of Mine Kill and Max V. Shaul State Parks.
The walk will go along Old Route 30, beginning at the Max V. Shaul Pavilion at 8:30pm, and ending back at the Pavilion by 10:30pm.
Call Ashley Drum at 827-6111 to register for the walk.
Registered participants will be notified if the walk is cancelled due to overcast or rainy weather. Bring flashlights and dress appropriately for the weather with sturdy footwear.
The April Full Moon is also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon. Max V. Shaul State Park will also hold full moon walks in the summer and winter to enjoy the Red Moon on August 31 and the Long Night Moon on December 28.
