As a way of thanking the Sharon Springs community for its support, Beekman 1802 will be giving away free Blaak cheese to residents on Blaak Sunday, May 6.
From 10-6, anyone who can prove they live in Sharon by showing a driver's license with an 13459 zip code will be able to take home a wheel of the Beekman Blaak cheese.
In the past, there's been nearly a year's waiting list for the cheese, produced by Beekman's Brent Ridge, Josh Kilmer-Purcell, and "Farmer" John Hall.
Beekman 1802 is located at 210 Main Street, Sharon Springs.
The reality TV show, "The Fabulous Beekman Boys," details life at the historic Beekman farm and mansion with local residents often in supporting roles.
Word that Planet Green, home to the show for its first two seasons, was leaving the airwaves, led to concerns that the series was ending.
However an announcement April 8 confirmed the show is moving to The Cooking Channel.
