Plenty to do today, the Fourth

There's plenty to do for Independence Day--tomorrow, Wednesday--in Schoharie County.
The county's annual celebration will be in Cobleskill, with games, rides, karaoke, dancing and music starting at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds at 2pm.
At 5pm, the parade will march down Main and South Grand streets to the Fairgrounds.
After the parade, games and rides will continue at the Fairgrounds, which will also host a 15-minute scene from Drums Along the Mohawk, featuring period re-enactors.
At dark, fireworks will complete the celebration.
The Old Stone Fort in Schoharie will also host a July 4 celebration from 10am to 4pm.
There will be readings of the Declaration of Independence and other documents of the time. Visitors can also participate in protests and debates with historical re-enactors un der the Liberty Pole.
The Iroquois Indian Museum in Howes Cave will hold its Early Technology Day from 10am to 4pm on the 4th.
Visitors can watch and participate in the process of flint-knapping, fire-making, spear throwing and early archery.
Middleburgh will unveil a new mural depicting village history at 10am.
The mural, 12 by 24 feet, hangs on a wall at the Artisan's Gallery.
