Constitution back in Cobleskill 9/12

9/5/2012

Constitution Pipeline will hold another open house Wednesday, September 12, 6:30-8:30pm at the Cobleskill Best Western, where information on routing alternatives is expected to be available.
As proposed, the 121-mile pipeline would travel through parts of Schoharie County and Otsego Counties.
The exact route, however, is still being determined; many of the impacted communities are calling for running it along I-88-a change Constitution has said it will consider.
The project and route are subject to approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Information on two of the more than dozen proposed alternates is expected at next Wednesday's open house.
Constitution has said it will begin FERC scoping meetings and easement negotiations this fall with its application submitted to FERC in January.
Construction will begin in April 2114 with the line up and running in March 2015.
