Middleburgh pair linked to 7 burglaries

Two Middleburgh residents who have been linked to seven recent burglaries in Schoharie and Schenectady counties were September 1 after being seen running form a home into the woods.
The Cobleskill State Police said they were dispatched to a burglary in progress on Huntersland Road in the Town of Middleburgh on the evening of September 1.
When they arrived, Troopers said they observed two people felling form the home into a wooded area.
Troopers were able to apprehend both and recovered four rifles and a shotgun stolen from the residence, police said.
The two people were armed with pellet pistols and a tire iron, police said.
Ephraim D. Moultrie, 27, and Alicia M. Lott, 24, both of Brooky Hollow Road were arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, according to the State Police.
Mr. Moultrie was also charged with second-degree assault, police said.
They were arraigned in the Town of Middleburgh court, police said, and sent to Schoharie County jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
Police said they executed a search warrant at Mr. Moultrie and Ms. Lott's home and recovered 30 items stolen in recent area burglaries.
The items include jewelry, flat screen TVs, laptops, a .22 revolver, a Remington rifle, and various electronic devices, police said.
The State Police and the Schoharie County Sheriff's office have been able to link the two to seven burglaries in Schoharie and Schenectady counties.
In addition to Huntersland Road, there were also burglaries on Knight Road in the Town of Duanesburg Brooky Hollow Road in the Town of Middleburgh, Richard Hollow Road, and West Richmondville Road.
The State Police executed another search warrant at the home on Thursday, September 6 and recovered more items that may have been stolen, police said.
Recovered were: seven dolls, five of which were apparently taken during a burglary on August 6 on Richard Hollow Road and two taken from a burglary on West Richmondville Road on August 7, police said.
Police also said they recovered a High Sierra Backpack from a Knight Road burglary as well as assorted jewelry, DVDs, a Toshiba DVD players, computer equipment, an Ann Kline gold watch, and four belt buckles.

Additional search warrants and arrests are forthcoming, police said.
