September supervisors' meeting switches back

9/19/2012

The September meeting of the Schoharie County Board of Supervisors has been switched back to its regular meeting date and time of the third Friday of the month at 10am.
County supervisors agreed during the summer to hold the August and September meetings on the fourth Tuesday of the month starting at 5pm.
The August meeting was held on August 28 and the September meeting was originally scheduled for September 25 but has been switched to Friday, September 21 at 10am.
The change was made because FERC has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed Constitution pipeline on the evening of September 25, said board clerk Sheryl Largeteau.
The Tuesday evening meetings were only scheduled for August and September so supervisors would have to decide whether to change the day and time of the October meeting.
The meetings were changed to Tuesday evenings to get more participation from the public. The attendance at the August meeting was about the same as those held during the day.
