A mother and her two adult children were arrested Friday on drug charges after police conducted a search of a Seward home following a month-long investigation.
The Cobleskill State Police said they executed a search warrant at a home on Route 165 in the Town of Seward on Friday and seized marijuana and MDMA, an amphetamine more commonly known as ecstasy.
Troopers said they discovered a pound and a half of processed marijuana which Zachary R. Lushkevich was arrested for. They also found smaller amounts of marijuana on Catherine I. and Katarina A. Lushkevich.
Police said Mr. Lushkevich, 24, was arrested on charges of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony; and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth-degree, both misdemeanors.
Catherine Lushkevich, 39, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, police said, and Katarina Lushkevich, 20, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
All three were issued appearance tickets to return to the Town of Seward court on November 14, police said.
In addition to the drugs, Troopers said they discovered a gutted, untagged deer hanging from the rafters in an outbuilding located on the property.
EnCon Officer Michael Terrell responded to the scene and is conducting an investigation.
The DEC officer also noted several EnCon violations.
The State Police were assisted by the Schoharie County District Attorney's office.
