All but 1 on ballot in Spa June election

Three out of four trustees' posts plus the job of mayor will be on the ballot when Village of Sharon Springs voters go to the polls in June.
The unusual situation comes because of the mid-term resignations of trustees Joan Jozifek and Claude Jackson in 2012.
Jim Navilio was named to replace Ms. Jozifek after she resigned in August; Denise Kelly was named to replace Mr. Jackson after he resigned in September.
Their posts will both be on the ballot as will the post of Trustee and Deputy Mayor Doug Plummer.
Ms. Kelly's post will be for three years to fill out an unexpired four-year term; the other posts are all for four years.
Mayor Omer Cousineau, who's held that job for seven years, said Thursday he's not seeking re-election, so that four-year term will also be on the ballot.
"I want to retire. Really retire," Mayor Cousineau said.
Elections will be Tuesday, June 18 from noon-8pm.
