Cops ask "Is this stuff yours?"

State police are hoping to reunite dozen of items-from a guitar to coins and jewelry to what looks like a family photograph-with their owners after a year-long string of burglaries as far west as Oneida County by 27-year-old Corey Hunt of Schoharie.
Hunt is currently serving 3-9 years in prison for several of those burglaries after being arrested in August on a parole violation, according to BCI Investigator Tom Cioffi.
State police publicized the recovered items in a press conference Thursday; Investigator Cioffi said they've already received a lot of phone calls on the items, all of which were recovered from burglaries committed by Hunt between the summers of 2011-12.
"Some of it is valuable, some of it has sentimental value," he said. "We're trying to get it back to its owners instead of leaving it stockpiled somewhere."
Few of the well-traveled Hunt's crimes were committed locally, Investigator Cioffi said.
The items are available for inspection and claim at the State Police barracks in Princetown; call the BCI at 630-1712 for an appointment.
Photos of some of the items are also available on the State Police website, nyspnews.com. Look under Troop G.
