Schoharie County will be testing Rapid Notify-its emergency notification system-this Thursday, June 20, beginning at 10am and continuing until all registered phone numbers have been contacted.
A text message will direct residents to the county website, schoharicounty-ny.gov, to register additional contact numbers in the Schoharie County Notification System and asking them to spread the word about the system to family and friends.
Those without internet access can call (866) 295-6229 Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, to register additional contact numbers.
Anyone who doesn't receive a call on Thursday should go to the county website and register their phone number.
