Middleburgh men arrested for heroin possession

The State Police arrested two Middleburgh men on various drug charges, including the possession of heroin, after a traffic stop on I-88 Saturday.
Police said they arrested Dustin M. Bennett, 27, and Scott T. Kossow, 27, both of Middleburgh after a traffic stop on I-88 in the Town of Princetown.
Mr. Bennett was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police. Mr. Kossow was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second-degree.
Both men were found to be in possession of heroin, according to police, and Mr. Bennett was found with an illegal dagger-style knife. They were both processed and released to return to Princetown court on July 17.
