Originally slated for this Thursday, the formal presentation of the projects the local New York Rising Committee will be forwarding to Governor Andrew Cuomo has been postponed until November 7.
The meeting on the 7th will begin at 6pm at the Schoharie Town Hall.
In a September 10 visit to SUNY Cobleskill, Governor Cuomo announced $12 million in flood recovery and rebuilding aid to the Village and Town of Esperance and the Villages of Schoharie and Middleburgh.
Since then, the local New York Rising Committee has expanded the scope of possible projects to include all of the Schoharie Creek watershed and has been meeting regularly to compile the final list.
"We just needed more time," said Georgia Van Dyke, executive director of the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce who, along with SALT Executive Director Sarah Goodrich is New York Rising co-chair.
Ms. Van Dyke said there were requests from the Towns of Schoharie and Middleburgh that some essential flood recovery projects be added to the group's "wish list" that they wanted to honor.
All of the projects will be explained at the November 7 meeting, she said.
The meeting is open to the public.
