Election finals: Bleu in Wright; no change in Blenheim, Fulton races
11/19/2013 |
Absentee and military ballots changed three races in Schoharie County elections Tuesday.
Amber Bleau, who trailed Karl Remmers 320-317 for Wright supervisor on Election Day, won in Tuesday's final counting, 343-338.
In another race that changed--but still may not be over, Conesville highway superintendent candidates tied with 154 votes each.
In that race, Stephen Young was ahead of Larry Brandow, 145-134 on Election Day.
Also in Conesville, John Sweatman defeated Gary Young 161-157 for councilman. Mr. Young led 150-141 two weeks ago.
Although the numbers changed with absentee and military ballots added in, winners didn't change in other close races:
--Blenheim supervisor, Shawn Smith defeated Bob Mann, 77-66.
--Fulton supervisor, Phil Skowfoe downed Frank Tatten, 230-223.
--Schoharie councilman, Alan Tavenner defeated Joun Wolfe, 567-543.
