5/6/2014

A Cohoes man was reported missing by his family to the Cohoes Police Department after he left home on his bicycle on Sunday and didn't return. An Albany television station aired the story on the missing man asking anyone with information to contact the Cohoes Police Department.
Monday, at approximately 5pm, Schoharie County Deputy Terry Minton was on patrol in the Village of Schoharie when he observed a man on a bicycle. At that time Deputy Minton did not know that the subject was reported as missing. Upon interviewing, the man who carried no identification told the Deputy his name. Further investigation determined that he was in fact a reported missing person.
He was taken to the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office. The Cohoes Police were notified; they in turn contacted the man's family who came to the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office and took him home.
