Voters say yes to all school votes

All local school budgets passed easily in voting Tuesday.
At COBLESKILL-RICHMONDVILLE, the $37.6 million budget passed, 684-252, and a proposition to purchase six buses at a cost not to exceed $644,054 passed, 648-280.
Unopposed candidates, all elected, were: Bruce Tryon, 617; Steve Philbrick, 669; and Susan Emerson Strasser, 606.
The COMMUNITY LIBRARY budget of $258,997 was approved, 683-252, and unopposed board members elected were: Gerald Peters, 517; Melodie Neary, 591; Ken Hotopp, 530; and ZJ Jiang, 493.
MIDDLEBURGH voters approved their $20.4 million budget, 451-338, and elected Ernest Keuhl to the school board with 546 votes.
He was unopposed and replaces Kimberly Smith, who did not seek re-election.
SCHOHARIE passed its $21.68 million budget, 380-238, and approved its bus proposition, 389-230, and a capital project proposition, 368-247.
Maureen Bernhardt with 401 votes and James Bleau with 361 votes were elected to the school board.
Mark Quandt polled 358 votes.
SHARON SPRINGS voters approved their $8.88 million budget, 153-21, and approved a bus proposition, 135-41.
Helen Roberts, who ran unopposed, was re-elected to the school board with 150 votes.
WORCESTER voters approved their $10.8 million budget, 193-115, and elected unopposed school board candidates Stacey Serdy, 230, and Michelle Francis, 211.
The WORCESTER LIBRARY budget of $25,000 passed 161-144.
JEFFERSON voters passed their school budget, 138-57, and a bus proposition, 135-59.
David Lapinel was elected to fill an unexpired three-year seat on the school board with 152 votes and Laurel Bedford was elected to a five-year term with 161 votes.
At GILBOA-CONESVILLE, voters okayed their $10 million budget, 148-40, and a bus purchase proposition, 136-37.
They also established a capital reserve for building projects and renovations, 140-30.
Elected to fill an unexpired three-year school board seat was Karl Gockel with 80 votes.
Elected to a five-year seat was Gregory Woodcock with 137 votes.
