Hats off for Richmondville Days

Richmondville will celebrate "Hats off to Richmondville" this weekend with a full complement of community-wide events that include trolley rides until 3pm, a parade, vendors, historical tours, and fireworks.
The fun will kick off Friday with a chicken barbecue at the firehouse from 4pm until sold out.
Starting on Saturday, from 7-9am there will be a pancake breakfast at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a pie sale on the church front lawn.
From 8:30am on there will be a rummage sale at the United Methodist Church, with a bake sale. 9am-1pm and a silent auction at the Richmondville Firehouse with tickets drawn at 1pm.
From 9am-1:30pm, DJ Eric Haley will be at the firehouse.
A parade begins at 10am on Mill Street and ends at the lower entrance of the Radez School.
The national anthem will be sung by Ashley Rickson, grand marshals are the Richmondville Power and Light Company.
Sparkles the Tall Juggler and Dan the Magician will be at the firehouse and Radez, where there will also be a bounce house from 10am-3pm.
From 11am-1pm, the Haley Photo Booth will be at the firehouse, with props provided.
A classic/antique car show will be held at the RVES parking lot with all classic/antique car owners welcome, 11am-4pm.
The second annual TREP$ Marketplace at will take place at Radez from 11am-1pm. There will also be a dunking booth at Radez from 11:30am-2pm, and from 11am-3pm, a birds of prey presentation.
At noon, The Richmondville Historical Society at the Bunn Mill, High Street, will have exhibits and tours.
There will be a hat decorating contest and all hats will be judged at noon at the firehouse.
There will be a major girls' softball game at the Little League Field at 2pm and a spaghetti dinner at St. Paul's Lutheran Church from 4:30-6:30pm.
Saturday's events will wrap up at 9pm with fireworks in back of Radez School.
Bring your blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the show.
Sunday will begin with a pancake breakfast at the Richmondville Firehouse, from 8-10:30am, and a community church service at the Richmondville United Methodist Church at 10:45am, sponsored by St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the United Methodist Church.
The Historical Society will hold a pork roast and an ice cream social at Bunn Mill from 12:30-4pm, with live music at 1pm by "Yak Yak Creek."
At 2pm there will be a demonstration of the water wheel in motion at Bunn Mill.
Events will be held rain or shine.
