Schoharie Promotional getting ready for fall

8/19/2014

The Schoharie Promotional Association has announced that the Pumpkin Festival will return this year.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 11, the festival will be earlier in the month to take advantage of the fall foliage, as well as combining with other planned events in the area.
October 5 through 11 is Fire Prevention Week and the Schoharie Fire Department is planning to join in with some educational fun for all. The busy weekend will also see the History Fair at the Old Stone Fort.
With leaf peepers visiting the area, the Promotional Association plans to attract people to Main Street while providing transportation to and from the Old Stone Fort.
Some of the events planned are entertainment in the courtyard, games, contests, a farmers' market, and a Schoharie Sloughter Auction featuring all kinds of items from Schoharie. More details will be posted on the Promotional Association's website: www.schoharie promo.org.
