SUNY Cobleskill will welcome New York Times #1 best-selling and author/artist, Jan Brett, to campus on November 28, 5pm, at the SUNY Cobleskill Bouck Hall Ballroom in celebration of her new book, "The Animal's Santa".
As the very first stop on "The Animal's Santa Book Tour", the event will open with Ms. Brett conducting a 15-minute drawing illustration and presentation at 5pm, which will be followed by an opportunity for guests to meet Jan and have their copies of her book signed.
If time does not permit Ms. Brett to sign every book, Barnes and Noble on campus will have special signed bookplates featuring her artwork for all of the extra books.
Hedgie, Jan's favorite friend from "The Mitten and The Hat", will also be at the event. Parents are encouraged to bring their children for a meet-and-greet session with Hedgie and to have their photo with him.
Jan's Tour Bus, wrapped in artwork from "The Animal's Santa", will be parked in SUNY Cobleskill's Suffolk Circle.
Families are welcome to take a photograph next to the bus.
In the spirit of the season, the college will be accepting donations of mittens and hats to be distributed to local charities.
