Times-Journal gets help with new sign
12/30/2014 |
By Patsy Nicosia |
The Times-Journal made a little history of its own before Christmas when it replaced its circa 1954 sign with one designed and created by Pat Brancoforte of Cobleskill.
As Ms. Brancoforte watched and the T-J's Patsy Nicosia documented the event with her camera, Publisher Jim Poole, staffers David Avitable and Jerry Mickle, and Earl Van Wormer, handled the switch-out.
Mr. Poole said the sign, which carries a plaque reading "Sign Lume, Central Bridge," a company even Mr. Van Wormer, longtime Esperance supervisor had never heard of, had begun deteriorating, and it was a good time to take advantage of the Cobleskill Partnership's façade improvement program.
