The heads of most of the more important committees will remain the same for the Schoharie County Board of Supervisors.
Named Monday afternoon after the election of Dick Lape of Richmondville as chairman, the chairmen of the buildings and purchases, the finance and the personnel committees will remain the same as last year. The highway committee will get a new chairman.
The 2015 committees are as follows, the first person listed is the chairman of that committee:
• Buildings and purchases, Earl VanWormer of Esperance, Larry Bradt of Carlisle, Bill Federice of Conesville, Sandra Manko of Sharon, Gene Milone of Schoharie, Bill Smith of Broome, and Tony VanGlad of Gilboa.
• Extension agriculture and conservation: Bill Smith, Carl Barbic of Seward, Amber Bleau of Wright, Mr. Lape, and Harold Vroman of Summit.
• Finance and solid waste: Mr. Barbic, Mr. Bradt, Sean Jordan of Jefferson, Ms. Manko, Leo McAllister of Cobleskill, Mr. Milone, and Phil Skowfoe of Fulton.
• Flood: Jim Buzon of Middleburgh, Mr. Milone, Mr. Skowfoe, Bill Smith, Shawn Smith of Blenheim, Mr. VanGlad, and Mr. VanWormer.
• Highway/transportation: Mr. VanGlad (head of the highway portion), Mr. Milone (head of transportation), Mr. Bradt, Mr. Federice, Ms. Manko, Bill Smith, and Mr. VanWormer.
Mr. Buzon was head of the highway committee last year.

• Human services (social services and veterans): Mr. Vroman, Ms. Bleau, Mr. Buzon, Mr. Barbic, Mr. Skowfoe, and Mr. VanGlad.
• Law enforcement and judicial: Mr. McAllister, Mr. Bradt, Ms. Bleau, Mr. Federice, Shawn Smith, and Mr. VanWormer.
• Managements and policy review: Mr. Vroman, Ms. Bleau, Mr. Buzon, Mr. Milone, Mr. Skowfoe, Shawn Smith, and Mr. VanWormer with Mr. McAllister as alternate. Department heads on the committee are Paul Brady, Dan Crandell, Nancy Dingee, Mike Hartzel, and Denise Minton.
