Carlisle will celebrate the season Sunday with its own Winter Festival.
The event will begin at 1pm at the Town Hall on Crommie Road and will feature both indoor and outside events.
Sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowman building, horse-drawn wagon rides, and a bonfire are some of the activities that will be available, weather-permitting.
There will be snacks and hot drinks as well as a few indoor crafts and a movie.
Dress for the weather and bring sleds, snowshoes, and skis if you have them-as well as items for decorating a snowman.
The event is free and sponsored by the Carlisle Recreation Committee.
