Bikers raise $ for Rolphie Run

Bikers once again did their part for needy kids in Schoharie County.
More than 200 bikers took part in the 10th annual Rolphie Run, which raises money to help students from needy families.
Named in memory of Rolph Karker, the Run started at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds after messages from Justin and Sarah Karker, Mr. Karker's son and daughter, and a blessing by his brother-in-law, Claude Falzarano.
Bikers then took off for Greene and Albany counties before returning to the Fairgrounds for a barbecue and music by the band Flashback.
Dan Rupracht of Gloversville won the drawing for a 2015 Harley Davidson Road King.
The total raised by the Rolphie Run wasn't available by press time.
Linda Karker, Rolph Karker's wife, plans to distribute the money to all schools in the fall. An advocate at each school allocates the money to needy children.
