Officials are investigating several suspicious fires at a Summit property since early Saturday morning.
Since 2am Saturday, three vehicles and a large garage have been damaged by fire at a property on Baldwin Road in the Town of Summit, according to officials.
"These are absolutely suspicious fires," Schoharie County Fire Coordinator Matt Brisley said.
Mr. Brisley, along with the Sheriff's Office and State Police, have contacted the district attorney about the fires. The county and state fire officials are conducting the investigation.
Firefighters from Summit, Jefferson, Richmondville, and Charlotteville responded to a garage fire at about 1:45am Tuesday, according to Schoharie County Fire Coordinator Matt Brisley.
Mr. Brisley noted that the two vehicles that burned on Tuesday morning were far apart and there was a similar point of origin in all three vehicle fires.
Police have interviewed neighbors, according to Mr. Brisley.
Fire crews were very cautious about the garage fire since propane tanks and oxyacetylene were in the barn.
One of the vehicles that have burned was a rental.
No injuries were reported and family members were sleeping when the fire occurred, officials reported.
